Thankful For Dividends

With Thanksgiving 2019 now in the books what better time to share what I am thankful for. Of course I’m extremely grateful for my family and good health first and foremost, but I am also grateful for my dividends!

Every month I am routinely earning passive income from the world class companies I own in my portfolio.

Now make no mistake the amount of passive income I’m earning from dividends at the moment is very small. In no way am I making close to enough to cover my expenses not even half!

Despite not earning much right now in dividends any passive income I earn I am always thankful for. Every “dividend check” I earn gets me one step closer to my goal.

That “goal” for me is financial independence. Financial independence is my biggest goal in life because that will allow me and only me to own MY time. Not my employer or anyone for that matter. Once I have enough passive income to cover my living expenses I may still have a job who knows, but obviously I will have much more freedom to do the work I enjoy because money will no longer be a deciding factor.

I still have a long way to go on my personal journey, but that light at the end of the tunnel is what motivates me. Dividend growth investing truly changed my relationship with money for the better. Nothing feels better to me than earning money effortlessly through passive income.

I have had to make a lot of changes in my life in order to one day make my dream a reality, but it is totally worth it! Sure I have given up a lot of luxuries like cable tv amongst various other things but I don’t even miss it. I’d rather go without cable than work a job that I don’t like for the rest of my life just to earn a paycheck. No thanks! I’ll take my dividends over a paycheck any day of the week!

Thank you for reading happy holidays!
